The Mission: Know Jesus, Make Him Known

The mission of Students Ministry at Pennington Park Church is to create safe, fun, and gospel-centered environments for our students so that they can know Jesus and make him known. By partnering with parents and equipping leaders, our aim is to disciple students to grow in their faith, build community, and glorify Jesus.

STUDENTS STAFF

MEET SAM

ASSOCIATE PASTOR OF STUDENTS MINISTRY

Hey, I’m Sam! I’m the Associate Pastor of Students here at Pennington Park. I’m originally from Maryland, but spent 7 years becoming a Texan down in Austin. I have an incredible wife named Meagan and a son named Owen who is a ball of fun and energy. I played baseball in college, and spend most of my time rooting for mediocre sports teams (Go Irish, Steelers, and Orioles!) or playing pickleball. I’m thrilled to be a part of what God is doing in the Students ministry at Pennington Park!

MEET MAGGIE

FAMILY MINISTRIES RESIDENT

Howdy! I’m Maggie, the Family Ministries Resident at PPC. I’m originally from Paris, Texas, but moved to Fishers from Austin in May of 2023. I love Longhorn Football (hook ‘em!), spending time with friends, and playing mediocre pickleball. I’m passionate about reaching students with the gospel, and I’m excited about what God’s doing in Family Ministries at Pennington Park!

UPCOMING EVENTS

FAQs

Come join us on Sunday night! After our teaching, we break up into age and gender-specific small groups with 2+ same-gender leaders.

On the fourth Sunday of each month, we encourage our students to participate in the church’s monthly Prayer and Worship nights. Instead of our regular gatherings, students meet at a host home or at the church for games and food. Details for 4th Quarter will be sent out in our parent email, so be sure to get on our email list!

Our Students Leaders are responsible for knowing, loving, and leading a small group of same-gender students. Leaders join us on Sunday nights and take the lead in facilitating small group discussion, but they also have touchpoints with students throughout the week. If you’re interested in volunteering, please read our leader expectations and fill out this form. Someone from our team will reach out with next steps!

Our ministry has three pillars: truth, fun, and love. Students will learn Biblical truths through our 6-year scope and sequence curriculum created by our team. Students will take part in fun games, activities, and retreats to build community and have a great time together. Just like Jesus loved his disciples, students will be loved and poured into by staff, leaders, and small group, and will get to actively participate in loving others as well.
Here at Pennington Park Students, part of our mission is to partner with parents to help you disciple your students. We want to know you and come alongside you as the primary discipler of your children. As you and your student enter our ministry, our aim is to communicate well, meet with you as often as you need, and provide you with resources and training to engage with your students outside the church walls. Feel free to reach out for more opportunities to partner with us – Sam and Maggie are always down to grab coffee with you!
Pennington Park Students staff has made a commitment to keep your child safe. We believe that safety is of the utmost importance – everything else, even sharing the gospel, can only happen if students are safe. To accomplish this, every adult in our space must be a fully onboarded and approved volunteer. We have a rigorous, multi-step onboarding process to ensure that every adult that is around our students is safe and committed to safety.
