Serve IN TECH
The worship arts ministry at PPC exists to reflect our Creator as we lead our church to know Jesus better, and Him known through song, prayer, Scripture, visual art, prayer, and other creative art forms. The tech ministry’s goal is to help create a distraction-free space on Sunday morning where God’s people can gather to sing God’s praise and hear His Word preached.
The Tech Team is comprised of three parts: Sound, Graphics, and Video. We are the “behind the scenes” part of the worship team. If you like computers, music, gadgets, buttons , or knobs then this team is for you. You don’t need any experience, we can train you. All training will be done on Thursday nights.

Computer Graphics
The CG position is the heart of our service. As the CG tech, you are responsible for all of Sunday’s visuals. Not only are you controlling what is on the main screen, but you are sending lyrics, slides and scripture to the confidence monitor, live stream, overflow room, atrium, Nursing Moms, and Green room. In the new building, CG is also responsible for the lights. Most of these tasks are automated within ProPresenter, but it is still good to understand how vital your position is each Sunday. Learned Skills:
Familiarity with Mac - We use a Mac for both Lighting and CG. A working knowledge of the Mac OS will make your life much easier. If you are unfamiliar with this platform, let me know, and I can help get you up to speed.
Become proficient with ProPresenter – Know it inside and out. If you are into self-learning, Renewed Vision has amazing online trainings that are easy to find and cover almost every aspect of the software. If you have any questions, ask Tyler.
ProPresenter concepts to understand: Stage Display (and how to change it), Looks, Themes, Countdowns, Messages, Lighting (Midi) Ques, Enabled / Disabled Slides, and Song Arrangements.
Strong sense of musicality - Advancing the slides is an art. Depending on how the computer is running and the speed of the song, knowing when to advance to the next slide can be the difference between powerful moment or a big distraction.
Basic understanding of Chroma-Q Vista 3 – This is our lighting software (Formerly Jands Vista). How to edit and advance ques.
Basic understanding of the Vista S1 light controller. We use this board to adjust the lights in conjunction with the Lighting computer. Vista requires a license key to work. This key is located inside the light board, so if the board is not turned on, the software will not see the license and will go into demo mode. If the lights are turning off every 10 min, make sure the board is turned on.
