If a skier/snowboarder wishes to tube, they can add 2 hours of Snow Tubing for $10 at the Tubing Ticket Windows. If that is what your student would like to do, please send them with $10. (Note: Perfect North is cashless, but they have Cash-to-Card kiosks if you send cash.)
If your student would like to purchase food at the lodge, please send them with money to do so. Here is the food/beverage menu.
Free Time @ Camp
If your student wants to spend their free time at camp, we will have many activities to chose from, including 9-square, Gaga ball, corn hole, dodgeball, craft tables, game tables, a movie room, and more.
Some snacks will be available, but your child is allowed to bring their favorite snacks for this time.
Rules/Policies
-
The Rule of 3 states that students may not be alone with each other, a leader, or a staff member in a private area. Students must be always in a group of 3 or more.
This rule is set in place for the protection of everyone. If this rule is broken, necessary consequences will be enforced, which could lead to the removal of a student, leader, or staff member from the retreat.
-
Students are permitted to have their phones on retreat as a safety measure and to be able to communicate with parents/guardians.
However, students should not be on their phones in cabins, during worship, DCOMM time, or while skiing. Leaders are empowered to ask students to put away their phones when necessary.
If the student continues to use their phone, a staff member will take up their phone for the remainder of the retreat.
As a safety measure, students will not have phones while in bed. Phones will be collected and stored in a central area for the night, where they will be charged and returned to students in the morning. If you need to reach your student, we recommend you contact Sam (301-801-7847) and Maggie (903-715-7938) or a leader.
-
We ask that students treat each other, leaders, and staff members with respect at all times during the retreat. Students should follow the instruction of leaders and staff members.
If a student cannot follow the instruction of leaders and staff, nor maintain appropriate conduct during the retreat, parents may be asked to come retrieve the student from retreat.
