MEN & WOMEN
We believe God has designed both men and women as unique, complementary parts which provide distinct gifts and roles to the body of Christ. These gifts and roles are best realized as men and women participate alongside one another in Sunday morning services and small groups. Therefore, our ultimate purpose in offering men’s and women’s ministries is to grow in our understanding of God’s Word so that we can better live out its truths together.
WOMEN’S MINISTRY
Our Mission: PPC Women’s Ministry exists to provide a Christ-centered environment for knowing who God is and informing our relationships with one another through that lens, growing deeper in His Word and prayer, and going together into the community to serve others.
In addition to Sunday morning corporate worship and small groups, women’s discipleship groups, Bible studies, and events are also offered.
Discipleship Groups focus on maturing women of our church in their Christian walks. Bible studies provide an opportunity for women to grow deeper in God’s Word while engaging other women outside of our church walls. Women’s events seek to create relationships intergenerationally for the purpose of unifying the body through a sense of connecting and belonging.
We are grounded in the Word
The Bible is foundational to our ministry. Consistent with II Timothy 3:16-17, we wholeheartedly believe that the Bible is “profitable for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness”. Additionally, Romans 15:4 affirms that “everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope”. We center our women’s conferences and retreats, Bible studies, and leadership training on God’s Word, differentiating our Women’s Ministry from a social gathering or sorority.
We are passionate about prayer
Prayer is a natural outworking of being grounded in the Word. Knowledge of God through his Word leads us to humbly bend our knee to our Father God, knowing that He alone is God and we were created for His purpose. We seek to desperately pursue God with our requests, calling upon the Holy Spirit to work mightily in and through us in corporate and individual prayer that unites us together with compassion for the church and culture. (Philippians 4:6-7, Hebrews 4:16, I John 5:14-15)
We are discipled and discipling
Our highest priority is to train and equip women to become mature followers of Jesus who practically apply the Bible and prayer in their daily life. We are committed to grow and equip disciples within our church body so that they will lead others outside our church to know Jesus and make Him known. (Matthew 28:18-20, Colossians 1:28, 2:6-7, James 5:16, II Timothy 1:12-14)
We are part of the whole
We believe that the Women’s Ministry should not replace but enhance our participation in all church-wide activities. We seek to work together within the structure of the whole church body to enhance, support, and bless rather than compete with other ministries. We willingly participate in a way that supports and affirms all levels of the church leadership (pastors, elders, deacons, staff, congregants). (I Corinthians 12:12-20, Hebrews 13:17)
We are one-another builders
We believe that we can learn and grow best when we are walking together regardless of our role, ethnicity, status, or age. Our relationships within the church are strongest when they are centered on Christ bringing unity in our diversity. Following Christ together, sharing our pasts, pains, circumstances, and current needs can help us to humbly learn from each other and flourish in our journey. Therefore, we intentionally structure our programs open to all women regardless of their demographics. ( Romans 12:10, Hebrews 10:24-25, II Thessalonians 1:3, I Peter 1:22, I John 4:11)
